Church School

Our Church School program is an exiting adventure in learning through the Bible, through crafts and special programs. We currently have five classes for pre-school age children through 8th grade. The Church School presents an annual Christmas program and we hold an annual Easter Egg Hunt on the lawn every Easter morning!

Church School is held every Sunday morning at 10:00 (except the first Sunday of the month when we encourage children to attend regular worship services with their families).

Youth Group

Youth Group meets regularly throughout the year for a variety of activities both within the church and presbytery-wide. 6th, 7th and 8th graders comprise the Jr. High Group. Ninth through Twelfth graders make up the Sr. High Group. Youth Group members participate in service projects such as leaf raking for elderly congregation members, baking goods for Bake Sale, hosting a dinner for the congregation, etc. There are also plenty of fun activities such as bowling, concerts, lock ins, etc.

MISSION STATEMENT: Called by God's Spirit, the Youth Group of Union Hill Church will help young people to deepen their faith in Jesus Christ in ways that relate to real life, by helping others, and by seeking to be caring, understanding, friendly and welcoming.

Salt & Light Choir is open to all youth in 6th grade & above.

Teen Bible Study for those in high school meets once per month during the school year.

Philosophy
Our philosophy is based on the idea of a child-centered curriculum that respects the "uniqueness" of young children. We seek to offer many varied opportunities for learning through active play and social interaction. We provide a variety of developmentally appropriate materials, activities, and experiences that encourage a balance of academic and social growth. Our goal is to foster a strong sense of self-worth that will help lay the foundation for future years of learning.

Mission
The mission of the Union Hill Church Preschool is to provide the community with a high quality early childhood preschool program; one that will support and nurture the young child. We seek to develop the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive abilities of each individual child.

Union Hill Church is proud to charter Cub Scout Pack 99.

Mission
To provide the boys with a variety of new experiences that will challenge them both physically and mentally, and provide them with skills they can use in Boy Scouts and for the rest of their lives.
